By day I am a mild mannered English teacher. By night I am a Job Search Strategist with 12+ years  in the field.

I have contributed to a number of top career-related websites such as Yahoo!Business, MSN Careers, Brazen Careeerist, Social Hire and Simply Hired. I also have over 15 years experience as a classroom English teacher.

This is my professional site, focused on career success. My mission is to help aspiring leaders looking to advance their careers to leverage their influence.  As a result, I write on career development  and  leadership  strategies. My aim is to create useful, relevant content that you can put to work in your professional life. If you are looking for a new job or career—or want to advance in the one you have—then this site is for you.

I was born and raised in New England and graduated from Assumption College with a dual major in Classics & English and a concentration in Education. I still live here in New England. (My family roots go back over 300 years here, so I am pretty sure that means I can’t leave.)

I have been teaching English for almost 20 years, from seniors in high school all the way down to 5th graders. Though for the majority of my career I have been in the 8th grade- which I absolutely love. I started a resume writing business when my youngest was born and my wife and I decided we wanted to give homeschooling a try. Ten years later, my side business has grown into a second career of its own and I love it almost as much as I love teaching young writers.

I have been married to my wife for 17 years and we have two amazing children.

In my free time I enjoy reading, running, hiking and following the Boston Red Sox (obsessively).
