Have you ever noticed how many times we try and reinvent the wheel? I find this happens with me most often when it comes to personal productivity tools. Every new app that shows up is going to be the one that magically makes me the most productive entrepreneur in the world.
But you know what, after a brief honeymoon period I always end up going back to my tried and true method of Google Calendar and a simple to do list.
Jobseeking is no different. Yes, there are many new tools, tricks and strategies, and some of them may work for you. However, before reinventing the wheel it is always smart to try and use something that has worked in the past.
Past performance is a good indicator of future success: How have you gotten the jobs you’ve had in the past? Can you use the strategy again? Exhaust these first.
