Performance evaluations matter. Not just for your current position, but as material to use on your resume and LinkedIn profile. So if you are preparing for a mid-year review follow these steps to get yourself ready.
- List your previous goals and review the measurement metrics. Objectively review how you did on each one.
- Assess performance and problem solve for gaps. No one succeeds at everything. Look at your own weaknesses and see how you could improve them.
- Prepare your own questions. Get a leg up on your next meeting by asking relevant questions about how your performance fits into the overall goals of the company.
You can never have to much information about your strengths and weaknesses. Make sure you get as much out of your performance evaluation as you can.
